Allison Rain was born at 10:26 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24. She weighed 8 pounds and 10 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. I was 39 weeks exactly, and it was also exactly 2 weeks after the first time I tried to have her.

I had my 34 week appointment today, and asked to be checked, even though it's two weeks earlier than they would normally start checks. On Friday, I was having contractions that were 6 minutes apart and it was scaring the crap out of me. Is that a lot? Or not? It seems like less than 9 weeks and 4 days for some reason. Maybe because that feels like two and a half months, while 68 days feels like just a teeny bit over two months.
